A Wild + Wonder-Filled Summer

Summer at Renewed Roots is everything childhood should be… barefoot mornings, creek discoveries, fort-building afternoons, and days spent learning by doing. Our camp invites children to explore freely, build confidence, and develop real-world skills through our weekly themes while immersed in nature, friendship, and meaningful experiences.

Here, summer slows down. Wonder comes alive. And every child finds space to grow.

  • June - Building & Gardening Camp

    A month of building, planting, water engineering, & woodland construction.

    WEEK 1 — WOODLAND MAKERS

    June 1st-5th

    Real Projects: Raised Beds • Fencing • Birdhouses • Tool Basics

    Kids learn beginning carpentry skills while building the foundational garden structures used all summer.

    June 8th-12th

    Real Projects: Planting • Composting • Soil Science

    Kids plant the full garden, set up compost areas, and learn how soil, water, and sunlight work together.

    June 15th-19th

    Real Projects: Water Flow • Mini Dams • Walking Bridge

    Kids experiment with water engineering and help construct a simple walking bridge.

    Kids create woodland hideouts and gathering spaces from branches and rope lashings.

    Kids capture nature through guided disposable-camera photography and create a photo sequence to bring home.

    Kids design and build a walking labyrinth using natural materials.

    A month of outdoor cooking, animal care, harvesting, and homestead skills.

    August 3rd-7th

    Kids make soap, crush berries, learn herb uses, and practice gentle daily animal care.

    Cast Iron Cooking • Fire Safety • Garden-to-Table

    Kids prepare meals over a campfire and learn essential fire-building skills.

    Kids pick garden crops, dry herbs, and dehydrate fruits—bringing home their own preserved goods.

    A gentle, shortened version of the summer themes. Sensory-rich, safe, and play-based.

Three Camp Commitment

  • Commitment to all three camps.

    $500 non-refundable deposit due upon enrollment.

    Remaining summer balance due April 1st.
